Re-Balance Pilates:
Do you want to challenge your body in new ways?
Re-Balance Pilates encourages you to think about which muscles are working and to get them working them if they aren’t.
Smaller class size allows for more detailed individual feedback so you can really start to challenge the muscles that are not functioning as they should be, whether that be switching them on or off. This style of class will help you to begin to correct postural imbalances created from injury, daily habits and poor posture. You will use your neuromuscular pathways perhaps more than in other classes, the aim is to create an in tune and more balanced body.
Nicky is an experienced Pilates teacher certified through STOTT Pilates. Nicky has run her own studio and worked for many others. Nicky has a background in professional sports, athletic conditioning, injury prevention and rehab. Last year Nicky worked with Harlequins Premiership Rugby Team teaching Pilates to players as part of the training and rehab programs.
Inspired to teach the body to move and connect in more ways Nicky qualified in Hatha, Vinyasa & Restorative Yoga. Yoga and Pilates really complement one another as you get different benefits from each. Pilates helps to refine connection whilst Yoga can refine flow and release. Before teaching Pilates and Yoga Nicky competed in kitesurfing internationally, when not teaching Pilates or Yoga Nicky is usually at the beach surfing or kitesurfing!
